The patient’s care will begin when the case is scheduled and will continue until the postoperative phone call reveals that the patient is recovering as expected. All staff, whether nursing, clerical, or management are involved in some aspect of each patient’s care. While a patient is at the Waterfront Surgery Center, their care will be continually monitored to ensure the delivery of high standards of care. At the Waterfront, we strive to provide appropriate preoperative assessment and a comprehensive plan of care designed to meet the needs of the patient undergoing surgery. We believe that a safe, comfortable environment for patients, family members, and staff is essential to provide high-quality medical care. We believe that encouraging and supporting nursing personnel in developing knowledge and skills of ambulatory surgery technique is of significant importance to the patient’s safety and recovery. We strive to provide high-quality care at the lowest possible cost in order to remain financially sound for the benefit of our patients, the community, and our staff. We believe in providing facilities that promote a family centered environment for patients and their families. Appropriate equipment and technology is provided, and the facility is operated in an environmentally conscious manner. Our Facility The Waterfront Surgery Center is a privately owned, free-standing ambulatory surgery center that is located in the Waterfront complex in Homestead. Our facility includes two procedure rooms and three operating rooms. We also have a preoperative area and a recovery area. We provide our patients and their families with free, on-site parking. We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and are an approved Medicare and Medicaid provider.
